Established in 1995 in Hull by David Kilburn and Peter Murray, MKM Building Supplies has grown to become one of the largest independent builders' merchants in the UK with 42 individual branches throughout England and Scotland. The company provides an extensive range of building materials and has been a proud supporter of charities and local sports teams as well as advising young entrepreneurs and providing hands on support.

MKM t-shirts to promote the Tour de Yorkshire

The Requirements

We were approached by MKM Building Supplies in June 2014 to produce a range of printed t-shirts that were to be worn by their staff and used for the various promotional events the merchants had planned throughout the year. They required the t-shirts to be in 3 different sizes to fit all members of staff the company had throughout the UK. As a special requirement, MKM also required that the order of 1,500 t-shirts were to be packed in quantities of 25.

The End Product

We provided MKM Building Suppliers with one of our best selling t-shirts noted for its hard wearing durability and long lasting quality. We also created a digital representation of their big front design "Team MKM" so that MKM could see how the design looked prior to it being printed on to the 1,500 t-shirts. Following the initial order, MKM Building Supplies were placed on to our managed account service which provided them with their own dedicated account manager and give them the ability to order directly through their own online portal. This allowed MKM Building Supplies to regulate their stock levels, purchase for individual branches throughout the UK as well as give MKM the ability to provide specific account and product access to individual members of staff.

Tour de Yorkshire T-Shirts

We've recently also had the opportunity to create a number of printed t-shirts for MKM to celebrate this year's Tour de Yorkshire. The printed t-shirts were created for the Beverley leg of the tour. Take a look at the video below to see the t-shirts being printed on one of our screen printing machines.
