Frequently Asked Questions

PPE should be stored in a clean, dry area away from direct sunlight and contaminants.

Personalisation is limited and depends on the product type and material. Currently, customisation is mainly available for certain helmets on orders of 40 units or more, subject to discussion with our team. Most other PPE items do not offer personalisation options at this time.

The correct respirator depends  on the airborne hazard (such as dust, fumes, gases, or vapours), the exposure level and the working environment. Disposable respirators are typically used for particulate hazards, while reusable half-mask or full-face mask respirators are required for higher risk o chemicala exposure. Always select a respirator with the appropriate EN standard and protection rating identified in your risk assessment, and ensure it fits correctly for effective protection.

Respirator filter selection must be based on the specific contaminant type and exposure level identified in your risk assessment. Particulate filters (e.g. P1, P2, P3) protect against solid and liquid aerosols, while gas and vapour filters (e.g. A, B, E, K, or combined types such as ABEK) are designed for specific chemical groups. Always ensure the filter meets the relevant EN standards, is compatible with your respirator model, and is replaced in line with manufacturer guidance.

Our range includes OTG (over-the-glasses) safety glasses as well as models that can be fitted with prescription lenses, subject to frame design and EN certification. Many styles feature advanced anti-fog and scratch-resistant coatings to maintain clear vision in demaning environments, with selected models also offering UV protection for outdoor use. Product specifications clearly list optical class, lens coatings and compliance details to help you choose the right option.

The core kit for most sites is: safety helmets, hi-vis, safety footwear, gloves, eye protection, and hearing protection. Beyond that, it depends on what the work actually involves (respiratory protection, harnesses, arc flash equipment, and chemical-resistant gear all come into play for specific tasks). We stock all of it, all from industry-leading workwear brands.

Yes. Everything in the range meets the relevant British and European safety standards - helmets, gloves, eyewear, hearing protection, respiratory equipment, the lot. We only source from manufacturers with a real track record on compliance, not brands that claim certification without the documentation to back it up. So your team gets kit that actually does what it says it does.

A workplace risk assessment is where it starts, as the hazards your team faces should be driving the decisions, not a generic checklist. From there, match each hazard to the relevant standard: EN 397 for helmets, EN 166 for eye protection, EN 388 for mechanical gloves.

We do. We actually  work with everyone from sole traders to large multi-site operations, with corporate pricing for significant volumes. For businesses with ongoing or high-volume PPE requirements, we can set up managed accounts that make repeat procurement straightforward across multiple sites.

A lot of unbranded PPE is available on 24-hour dispatch, with plain stock typically arriving within 1-2 working days. Branded PPE with a logo applied averages 5-7 working days. If something's truly urgent (for example a new site starting or a gap in kit that needs filling fast ), call us directly. We'll tell you straight what's achievable and find the quickest way to get it sorted.
