Cotton is famous for its softness and breathability - the perfect fabric for a tank top. To counter the tendency of cotton to shrink, the fabric of this garment has been pre-shrunk. You might be interested to know that jersey knit wool has been around since medieval times. Nowadays we have jersey knit cotton which is a stretchy, breathable, soft, absorbent and well-structured fabric. The same weaving style is used in this tank top. Twin needle stitching has been applied to the bottom hem. This uses three threads per stitch to counter fraying.
