Ocado - Case Study

Since early 2000, Ocado have grown to become the leading online supermarket, voted the best online supermarket in the UK by Which? readers every year since 2010. With 21 purpose built warehouses and picking centres, Ocado have developed a streamlined structure which has no bricks and mortar stores and allows them to provide over 500,000 active customers with all of their weekly shopping requirements.

The Requirements

As part of Ocado's commitment to providing the latest technological advancements when it comes to completing all online shopping requirements, the online supermarket regularly runs a number of annual innovation days through their Ocado Technology brand which are aimed at inspiring the next generation of bright minds to join the ever growing Ocado Technology team. We were approached by Ocado in 2013 to provide them with a number of printed t-shirts to be worn by staff, attendees and other participants at their product innovation days. The t-shirts needed to be of a navy colour to match their other branding for the event as well as have a range of sizes available to cover all eventualities in terms of attendees.

The Solution

After speaking with a number of representatives of Ocado to find out more about exactly what they were looking for, they decided to go with our best selling Fruit of the Loom Heavy Cotton T-Shirts. These included an intricate design and information around the event printed on both the front and back of the t-shirts. The designed were created by our highly skilled artwork team and then sent through to Ocado so they could give approval prior to it being printed on to the t-shirts. Once approval was given, the t-shirts were printed and promptly dispatched to Ocado so they had them well ahead of their required deadline.

Since that initial order, we are very proud to have regularly provided Ocado with printed t-shirts for all of their Ocado Technology and look forward to containing to grow this budding relationship.
