Mitie - Case Study

Mitie are one of the UK's leading providers of infrastructure consultancy, facilities management, property maintenance and energy management. Founded in 1987, Mitie, which stands for Management Incentive Through Investment Equity, help start up businesses by providing a range of support to facilitate business growth year on year. However, they also have larger clients with the likes of Vodaphone using the company to manage their vast UK property portfolio. Mitie also run several skills centres and apprentice schemes offering an exciting career path for young adults.

The Requirement

Workwear Express were approached by Mitie in 2009 to produce an extensive range of staff uniforms for the various staff they employ around the UK.The garments needed to offer a wide range of both protective and lighter fabric garments to accommodate for seasonal changes. They also needed to provide a comfortable fit for staff while enforcing a positive corporate image with a professional, but practical appearance.

The Solution

A member of Workwear Express met with Mitie for a series of consultancy meeting to discuss potential garments that would fulfil all initial requirements while having good stock levels to ensure all current and future garments could be provided within short notice. We provided the company with a number of sample products in various sizes so that members of staff could try them on and ensure a comfortable and practical fit as well as being of the quality they required. This meant that they were entirely satisfied will all aspects of the garments prior to the order being embroidered with the Mitie logo. We also placed Mitie on to our managed accounts platform, giving them a dedicated account manager as a direct point of contact for any future orders. We have since had the pleasure of working with Mitie on a regular basis to this very day, providing them with a range of personalised garments for the various staff they employ across the UK.
