Little Chef - Case Study

Uniforms for Little Chef.

Little Chef have been an ever present and iconic part of British motorways since first launching in Reading in 1958. From just that one restaurant offering 11 seats, Little Chef has grown to become a staple for all drivers with dozens of restaurants up and down the country. The chain offer a vast selection of traditional meals designed to keep travellers alert and fuelled up for the long journeys ahead.

The Requirement

Workwear Express were approached by Little Chef to design a range of staff uniforms to be worn by both the restaurant staff and the managers who operated the diners. In addition to the staff uniforms, Little Chef also required a range of retail clothing that would be sold directly to the public in order to aide in brand recognition. The uniforms needed to be bespoke in design, but still hold true to the iconic Little Chef brand while also conforming to a specific budget.

The Solution

Using our vast supplier network we were able to put together a select of garments which complimented the Little Chef brand style but still incorporated the fresh, bespoke design that the roadside restaurant chain were seeking. In order to help Little Chef personnel source and supply their various outlets with ease, we set the company up on our managed account service. This gave Little Chef a dedicated account manager to help with any questions and queries, while also providing them with a platform to monitor stock levels, provide Little Chef staff with various levels of access as well as order garments for individual stores when required.
