Hovis - Case Study

The Introduction

First lanched way back in 1886 in Macclesfield, Hovis are considered to be one of the premium providers of flour and bread. Now operating out of High Wycombe, Hovis employ around 3,500 people across their 9 bakeries, 6 flour mills and 2 regional distribution centres throughout the UK.

The Requirements

Workwear Express were approached by Glasshouse Creative, who were employed by Hovis to create a a range of internal signage throughout Hovis' factory, which included some of their corporate clothing and staff uniforms. They required a number of formal polo shirts to be printed with the Hovis logo on the left breast. The shirts needed to be a colour which matches Hovis' brand guidelines, with a variety of sizes to cover all their staff requirements.

The End Product

After discussions with a member of staff from Glasshouse Creative, we decided to provide them with the Uneek Classic Polo Shirt which was one of our best selling polo shirts and covered all of their requirements in terms of style, colour, quality and available sizes. We then provided Glasshouse Creative with an artwork proof which allows them to see how the Hovis logo would look on the polo shirts prior to the application process taking place. Once approval was given, the polo shirts were placed on to one of our 12 colour screen printing machines which provided a high quality and long lasting application of the Hovis logo before the garments were securely packaged and delivered to Hovis' premises in London.
