House of Fraser - Case Study

The Introduction

With over 60 stores throughout the UK, House of Fraser has grown since it was launched in 1849 to become one of the biggest department stores in Britain. Selling clothing, cosmetics and everything in-between, the department store offers some of the biggest brand names such as Chanel, Fred Perry, Georgio Armani and many more.

The Requirements

Workwear Express were approached by House of Fraser to produce a range of ties to be used as part of the For Living range that the company launched in partnership with ScS. The ties were to be worn by members of staff working for the range within a number of ScS outlets. As such it was important that the ties were stylish in appearance but also relayed a professional feel that built trust and authority within customers.

The End Product

We provided House of Fraser with a range of ties to choose from that we felt suited the style and look that the company were seeking. Once a tie was chosen, we created a sample order with the For Living logo embroidered on to it so that they could see how the logo looked and felt when placed on to the tie. Happy with the tie and the quality of the embroidery, we then produced the batch order of 150 ties, each containing the House of Fraser For Living logo embroidered identically on each item. These were then packaged and distributed directly from our warehouse to the individual ScS stores which required them, allowing the ties to get to the members of staff much quicker than if they needed to go to head office to then be distributed.
