Givenchy Case Study

The Introduction

When it comes to haute couture brands there aren't many bigger than Givency. Founded in 1952, Givenchy has become world renowned as a provider of high end cosmetics, perfumes, clothing and other accessories, leading the way as one of LVMH's luxury brands along side the likes of Dom Pérignon, Moët & Chandon, Louis Vuitton and Dior. The luxury French fashion house first came to prominence in the 1960's when their now iconic black dress was worn by Audrey Hepburn in the film 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' and since then have gained a cult following with over 4 million followers across various social media platforms.

The Requirements

In late 2014, we were approached by LVMH as they required a number of printed garments to be used as part of their promotional activities throughout the coming year. The garments needed to be plain in design as to compliment the Givenchy brand, leaving the brand's logo as the focal point of the garments, clear to see by all passing customers.

The End Product

After speaking to one of our experienced sales advisors who pointed out the garments that we felt would work well for LVMH's requirements with the Givenchy brand, they opted receive samples of three different t-shirts in order to gauge which style, feel and overall structure of t-shirt would work best for the activities the brand had planned. After much deliberation LVMH decided to go with our best selling  heavy cotton t-shirts as they provided a hard wearing durable feel, while still maintaining somewhat of an elegant and professional appearance which encompassed exactly what the Givenchy brand is all about. The t-shirts were then printed using one of our 12 colour screen printing machines applying the Givenchy logo in white lettering across the chest. The 800 garments were then securely packaged as dispatched

Following this initial order, LVMH have since placed repeat orders for further printed t-shirts based around a number of promotions and marketing initiatives carried out under the Givenchy brand.
