The Introduction 

Drink Wise, Age Well helps people make healthier choices about their drinking as they age.

For many people alcohol can have a positive impact on their lives including increased socialisation and relaxation. Many of us will enjoy alcohol as we get older and may never experience some of the negative effects. As a society we’re living longer, and many of us will have active and independent lives well into old age. Research even suggests that after the age of 50, people begin to get progressively happier.

However, this isn’t the case for everyone, for some people alcohol can start to have negative impacts as they get older. In the past ten years Drink Wise have seen a significant increase in harms caused by alcohol to older people.

The Requirements

Drink Wise, Age Well approached us to print their t-shirts for a conference with international speakers aimed at exploring challenges of substance misuse in an ageing population. The conference was hosted by Drink Wise, Age Well and Developing a Caring Wales. The conference was aimed at policy makers, commissioners and practitioners. 

The t-shirts have been ordered for the intention of identifying staff who can support delegates during the day with timings, running microphones, toilet locations etc. The branding has been created specifically for this event and the t-shirts will match balloons, posters, banners and cakes etc on the day.

The End Product

On receiving the artwork, which included a printed design for the t-shirts Workwear Express placed the designs on to an electronic proof so the Charity could see what the t-shirts looked like with the artwork on. Once Drink Wise Age Well approved the proof designs, the t-shirts quickly then went into our printing department for production and the finished t-shirts were delivered to 'Drink Wise Age Well' Charity by the date as requested.
