Capital FM - Case Study

The Introduction

The station also boasts a number of sister stations in Classic FM, Heart and Smooth Radio amongst others.Capital FM have grown to become one of the biggest radio networks with a total of 11 independent radio stations throughout the UK. Boasting a slogan as ‘The UK’s No.1 Hit Music Station’ Capital FM is primarily aimed an age group of people between 15 and 34, serving over 7.1 million people with a variety hit music and entertaining daytime shows.

The Requirements

In 2013, Workwear Express were approached by the Energy Marketing Group, a marketing company working with Capital FM, to produce a range of printed garments that would be used for the Capital FM Summertime Ball, an annual music concert which takes place at Wembley Stadium. The company required a range of t-shirts and jackets containing the Summertime Ball logo both on the front and back. The Energy Marketing Group also needed the garments completed within a very short time frame due to the day the event was taking place.

The End Product

Due to the large size of the order, we first checked with our suppliers to make sure that the garments and relevant sizes were all in stock prior to production. Due to the speed in which the garments needed to be produced and dispatched, we placed the order on to our DTG machine which acts like a computer printer in applying a digital design directly on to the garment. The speed of this process allowed all of the garments to be produced well within the required time frame and then dispatched to London ready for the Summertime Ball.

The printed garments for the event proved to be so popular that the company placed another order 12 months later for long sleeve t-shirts to be used in the following year’s Ball.
