BP Castrol - Case Study

The Introduction

Castrol has grown over the last century to become one of the biggest companies in supplying industrial and automotive lubricant to over 270 distributors across the planet who then themselves distribute to more than 70,000 retail outlets. The brand has been active from a brand awareness stance, sponsoring various sports in the past such as Formula One, American football, cricket, rugby union and many more.

The Requirements

Workwear Express were approached by Castrol to create a range of embroidered garments to be worn by the various departments the company has at the Castrol Technology Centre in Reading. The garments were required to hold the same style, colour and professional appearance that enforces Castrol’s corporate image while being functional as they would need to be worn by staff as they carry out various daily tasks.

The End Product

Members of the Workwear Express team liaised with Castrol on numerous occasions to suggest garment choices and colour schemes that matched the Castrol brand identity perfectly. Once the garments had been decided, we checked the stock levels with our suppliers to ensure we have enough to cover the quantities which Castrol required. The logos to go on the polo and formal shirts were then embroidered on to swatches of fabric and sent to Castrol so that they could see how the logos will look first hand and give final approval. The garments were then delivered to the Castrol Technology Centre within the timeframe the company required.
