Hobbycraft, an arts and crafts superstore retail chain in the UK. When the company started out they were only a small independent arts and crafts suppliers and now we all visit their stores when we are looking to be creative as they have everything you need under one roof. They now have over 100 stores offering arts and crafts at a low cost.
Hobbycraft looked to source an alternative uniform supplier for the Hobbycraft Distribution Centre, they were looking for a supplier that could meet their uniform requirements in a timely fashion at the best value. They have 250 staff in the warehouse and all staff are provided with full uniform and PPE on joining the business.
The uniforms needed to portray a professional image that positively reinforces their corporate brand. Due to the large volume of staff that Hobbycraft employ, they needed an easy and efficient way by which stock levels can be controlled by central personnel within Hobbycraft and then distributed to staff.
Throughout the early stages of the process we visited Hobbycraft at their main headquarters to carry out a number of project meetings to understand the Hobbycraft brand. To handle the stock control requirement, we placed Hobbycraft on to our Key Accounts Platform. This provided them with a dedicated account manager to handle all of their requests, warehouse space and staff to house their stock and call the garments off when needed. We provided Hobbycraft with a full uniform including hi-vis vests, polo shirts, sweatshirts, t-shirts, fleece jackets and a variety of safety shoes.
They decided to work with Workwear Express as they felt that we could meet their requirements in terms of quality and quantity at a competitive price. We have met their branding guidelines and bespoke requirements.
