Tis the season to don the ugliest outfit you’ll wear all year (we hope) as Christmas Jumper Day 2017 rolls around on 15th December. In the name of Save The Children, employees, bosses, children, teachers – everyone really – are encouraged to wear brightly coloured knitwear decorated with the cheesiest Christmassy puns to raise money for the fantastic charity.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the great work of Save The Children, they are dedicated to helping children and their parents across the world by providing better healthcare, better technology and an education for children who need it, as well as making monumental efforts in general for children who are often overlooked and underprivileged.
If you wish to get involved then it couldn’t be any easier. If your company has organised a Christmas Jumper Day event, all you need to do is donate £2 and you are all good to wear whatever bizarre Christmas Jumper you dare to be seen in. If your child’s school is taking part in Christmas Jumper Day, then you only need to pay £1 on behalf of your festively dressed child.
Christmas Jumper Day isn’t just limited to Christmas Jumpers either. If you wish to raise more money for Save The Children, you could organise extra fund raising activities like a festive bake sale or maybe a sponsored challenge whilst wearing a Christmas Jumper. Be creative with your fundraising ideas and don’t forget to show the world on social media by using the hashtag; #ChristmasJumperDay.
So don’t forget to put the 15th of December in your diary this year as the day fashion is forgotten, but don’t worry if you can’t take part that day. While that is the official Christmas Jumper Day, you can choose whatever day in December is most convenient for you.
At Workwear Express, we are currently stocking a festively fantastic range of Christmas Jumpers. Whether you are looking for yourself or your child, we’re certain you will find something you love, at a price you will love too. Be quick though! Our range is while stocks last.
