Members of the Workwear Express staff have decided to lace up their running shoes and take on the Durham Big Run challenge later this month.
Originally approached by the event to create a range of printed t-shirts for the event, many of the Workwear Express staff then decided that rather than just provide the garments for the event, they would also get involved and take part in the run.
Lisa Kell, one of our experienced client managers here at Workwear Express who is taking part in the event said: "We managed to get a group of us who are doing the 7km route for a bit of fun."
"I suppose it's a full circle of getting the shirts ordered, printed and then wearing one at the end of the run."
The run takes place on Sunday August 25th at 9.30am. There will be two different routes, one just over 8.5km and the other around 7km. They will both start at Howlands Park, just south of Durham city centre, then moving through the Botanic Garden, Houghall Woods and the Maiden Castle Sports Centre, before finishing at Durham racecourse.
Those who manage to finish the grueling course will receive a gift bag that will contain one of the printed t-shirts provided by Workwear Express.
The event is open to people of all ages with adults taking part in the 7km event with a smaller 1500m race for children under the age of 14 that will take place at the racecourse, finishing around the same time as the adults race.
This is just one of the events Workwear Express have worked with, having provided a range of printed garments for the likes of Durham Big Ride, Race For Life & Cancer Research UK.
Spaces are still available for people to sign up and give the run a go. Entry into the run costs £17.50 for adults and £7.50 for under 14s.
