Starting out in a humble workshop by Bertrand Faure as a producer of seats for tram cars used by the Paris Metro in 1914, Faurecia are now the 6th largest automotive parts manufacturers in the world with almost 100,000 employees across their 300+ of production sites present in over 34 countries.

Expansion over the last two decades has led to the parts manufacturers building up an impressive client list boasting names such as Ford, BMW, The Volkswagen Group, PSA Peugeot Citroen and many more. 

The Requirement

Workwear Express were approached by Faurecia in 2002 to source and supply a wide range of workwear and uniform clothing that would be worn by the various global staff that the automotive parts manufacturers employ. The garments needed to be tailored to the various job roles carried out by their staff, while also positively reflecting the brand identity and values that Faurecia have proudly held for over a century. It was imperative to Faurecia that all of the uniforms were completed within a strict timescale and to budget. 

The Solution

In the early stages of the process, key members of Workwear Express met with Faurecia to carry out an initial briefing, look at potential designs the company would like to go with and discuss suitable fabric and garment choices for the entire range. Once a design was agreed upon, wearer trials were carried out, allowing members of staff to sample the garments in order to ensure correct and comfortable fit.The uniform garments were then produced by our dedicated in-house production team to the highest possible standard, carefully packed and delivered to Faurecia all within the timescale that they had initially set at the start of the process.

In 2014, Faurecia became part of our managed accounts program, providing them with a dedicated account manager and also giving them with the ability to order their garments as and when they required through their own online portal. This allowed Faurecia to regulate the stock levels, order products to be distributed directly to a specific branch and provide varying degrees of account access, enabling each of their staff to be given access to ordering specific item ranges.
